Share the family paperwork, keep it in the family.

Family and group spaces with their own encryption key, clear roles and approvals. Everyone sees what is shared; our servers see ciphertext.

Who can do what in a space

One vault, three kinds of space

Everything you add goes into your personal vault by default. A family space is for the people you live and plan with: the health insurance everyone is covered by, the house papers, the car documents, the children's certificates. A group is for anything else you share, such as flatmates splitting rent or siblings looking after a parent's paperwork. When you add a document, choose every place it belongs.

Shared payments and reminders

Payments in a space show up on every member's calendar, and each member's own app schedules their reminders. When rent or a premium is marked paid, everyone sees it, so nobody pays twice and nobody assumes someone else did.

Nobody is added without saying yes

A person joins only by accepting their own invite, or by asking with a join code and being approved by the creator or an admin. Before a key is shared, the approving device seals the space key to the new member's personal key, and you can compare a fingerprint code to confirm it is really them.

Leaving and removing, done properly

When someone leaves or is removed, the space gets a new key and everything in it is re-encrypted. Files they uploaded stay in their own Google Drive; files others uploaded stop being shared with them. Nothing added afterwards is readable to them.

Family members without the app

Young children and elderly parents often do not need their own account. Add them as managed members of the family, keep their documents and payments in the space, and their names stay encrypted with the space key.

Common questions

Can OnlyWallet see what my family shares?

No. Each family or group space has its own encryption key, and items, files, payment notes, the space name and the names of people in it are encrypted with it. Our servers can see who is a member (their email address and role), not what they share.

How many people can join a family?

Up to 10 app users per family. You can be in several families at once, for example your parents' family and your own, plus any number of groups.

How does someone join?

Invite them by email, or share a 12-character join code or link. A code only lets someone ask to join; the creator or an admin must approve. Codes expire within 31 days and can be revoked.

What happens when someone leaves?

The space key is replaced the next time the creator or an admin opens OnlyWallet, and everything is re-encrypted under the new key. The person who left cannot read anything added after that. They may keep what they had already seen.

Can I share just one document instead of a whole space?

Yes. Share one document by link with another OnlyWallet user, with full access, view only or view once, for up to 31 days. You can revoke the link at any time and see when it was opened.
