What's new in OnlyWallet
Every change to how OnlyWallet works, newest first. Security fixes are listed too, in plain words.
Last updated 18 October 2026
Recently deleted, and member names kept private
- Deleting an item now moves it to Recently deleted for 30 days. Restore it with one tap, or delete it for good sooner.
- Names of people in a family or group space are now encrypted with the space’s key, so our servers see an email address but no name.
- Photos added on the web app save correctly, invite and shared links open the right screen, and overdue payments, search and bill import behave as expected after a round of live testing.
A cleaner, Apple-style design
- A new look across the whole app: system colours, grouped lists, capsule buttons, large titles that collapse as you scroll, and spring motion that respects Reduce Motion.
- Screen readers announce headings, copy buttons, tabs and chips correctly.
- Pressing the browser Back button on a form with unsaved changes asks before throwing them away.
- Many smaller fixes to forms, the date of birth picker, search, sign-out and payments.
Share a document by link
- Share one document with another OnlyWallet user through a link: full access, view only, or view once. Links expire within 31 days and can be revoked, and you can see who opened them.
- Part of the key lives only in the link itself, so neither our servers nor the stored copy can open a shared document on their own.
- On phones, Upload document and Fill from document can now take a photo directly.
- Fixed sign-out hanging on the web for accounts that never used Google sign-in on that page.
Security audit and the card deck
- A full security audit: every document field is now encrypted, and the visible details of an item (type, dates, amount, owner) are bound to its encrypted contents, so they cannot be changed on the server without the item refusing to open.
- Stricter database rules, server checks and browser protections, including a Content Security Policy for the web app.
- The master password is cleared from the page as soon as the web app has used it.
- You can now belong to several families, for example your parents’ and your own.
- Home shows your documents as a swipeable stack of cards.
Realistic document cards and custom sections
- Saved documents appear as cards that look like the real thing, with a full details page behind them. The Aadhaar card shows its familiar saffron and green stripe.
- Create your own sections in a space and choose the section when adding an item.
Save to Personal, Family and groups at once
- When you add a document, choose every place it belongs: your personal vault, your family, or any of your groups.
Multi-page documents and smarter scanning
- Attach documents with several pages, check the scan quality, compress large files and download originals.
- Scanning reads every field it can and asks you to choose when it is not sure, instead of guessing.
Upload documents, OnlyWallet Card and Drive on the web
- Upload a PDF or photo and OnlyWallet reads it on your device to fill in the form. Nothing is sent anywhere to be read.
- Your OnlyWallet profile and a shareable OnlyWallet Card.
- Google Drive stays connected on the web app across reloads, instead of asking every time.
Family and group spaces
- Personal, Family and Groups: share part of your vault with the people who need it, each space with its own encryption key.
- Disconnect Google Drive, or move your encrypted files to another Google account without decrypting them.
- Attach files while you create an item.
Sharing, emergency access, autofill and the browser extension
- Shared vaults and emergency access: give a trusted person read-only access after a waiting period you choose, which you can reject at any time.
- Offline editing: work without a connection and resolve conflicts field by field when two devices changed the same item.
- Import a bill: paste a bank or biller SMS or email and OnlyWallet reads the amount and due date on your device.
- Password autofill on Android, and a Chrome and Edge extension that fills and saves logins from your vault.
- Encrypted backups to a file locked with its own password, and account deletion that removes your data everywhere.
The first OnlyWallet
- A zero-knowledge vault for identity documents, vehicle papers, insurance, banking, medical records and more, encrypted with your master password.
- Payments and EMIs with a monthly calendar, loan schedules and reminders before due dates and expiries.
- Universal search, on-device document scanning and a built-in password generator and health check.
